  • Recommended Motion:

    "That the Community Health Committee receive the correspondence from the Town of Marathon in support of Northumberland County's resolution regarding 'Streamlining Governing Legislation for Physicians in Ontario' for information; and

    Further That the Committee recommend that County Council receive this correspondence for information."

    That the Community Health Committee, having considered Report 2023-003 ‘Additional Infection Control Cleaning’, recommend that County Council approve additional temporary staff in order to increase cleaning/disinfecting by 35 hours per week as legislated and funded through the Covid-19 Prevention and Containment Funding for the period of 12 months and renew as required as funding permits.”

  • Recommended Motion:

    That the Community Health Committee, having considered Report 2023-002 ‘Construction Funding for Long-Term Care Homes’, recommend that County Council direct staff to send a letter to the Honourable Paul Calandra (Minister of Long-Term Care) regarding extending the eligibility of the supplemental funding to long-term care projects currently in the construction phase or provide a separate funding program to assist municipalities with the additional financial burden of these projects as a result of the current economic circumstances.”

  • Recommended Motion:

    "That the Community Health Committee recommend that County Council direct staff to acknowledge receipt of a revised Long-Term Care Development Agreement containing funding terms inconsistent with the recently announced enhancements and request further discussion and clarification on funding eligibility by the Ministry of Long-Term Care prior to signing the Long-Term Care Development Agreement; and

    Further That the Committee recommend that County Council consider this matter at its January 25, 2023 meeting."

  • Recommended Motion:

    "That the Community Health Committee receive the October 20, 2022 HKPR District Health Unit Board of Directors' minutes for information; and

    Further That the Committee recommend that County Council receive the minutes for information."
