  • Recommended Motion:

    "That the agenda for the April 30, 2024 Corporate Support Committee be approved."

  • Recommended Motion:

    "That the Corporate Support Committee, having considered the correspondence from the Municipality of Wawa regarding 'Urgent Need to Increase Funding to Libraries and Museums', recommend that County Council support this correspondence, and call upon the Province to increase Community Museum Operating Grant (CMOG ) funding, evaluate the administration of the CMOG program, and revise eligibility criteria for the CMOG program so that new applicants may apply; and

    Further That the Committee recommend that County Council direct staff to send a copy of this resolution to the Honourable Doug Ford (Premier of Ontario), the Honourable David Piccini (Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development and MPP for Northumberland-Peterborough South), the Honourable Neil Lumsden (Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport), the Honourable Paul Calandra (Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing), the Association of Municipalities of Ontario, and to the Ontario Museum Association."

  • Recommended Motion:

    "That the Corporate Support Committee, having considered the correspondence from the Globe and Mail regarding 'An Open letter to Canada’s Political Leaders – for the Sake of the Country’s Future', recommend that County Council direct staff to consider the recommendations that align with municipal areas of accountability as part of the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) framework to be developed for Northumberland County."

    "That the Corporate Support Committee receive the presentation regarding the 'Communications Department Quarter 1, 2024 Update' for information; and

    Further That the Committee recommend that County Council receive the PowerPoint presentation for information."

  • Recommended Motion:

    That the Corporate Support Committee recommend that County Council proclaim the following list of proclamations at the May 15, 2024 County Council meeting:

    • Proclamation 'National AccessAbility Week', May 26 - June 1, 2024
    • Proclamation, 'National Indigenous History Month' - June, 2024 and 'National Indigenous Peoples Day' - June 21, 2024;
    • Proclamation, 'Pride Month' - June, 2024; and 
    • Proclamation, 'Seniors Month' - June, 2024."
  • Recommended Motion:

    "That the Corporate Support Committee receive the minutes from the March 14, 2024 meeting of the Northumberland Accessibility Advisory Committee for information; and

    Further That the Committee recommend that County Council receive the minutes for information."

  • Recommended Motion:

    "That this Committee proceed with the next portion of the meeting being closed to the public at _______p.m.; and 

    Further That the meeting is closed to the public as permitted under the Municipal Act Sections 239.(2.b) and (2.d) in order to address matters pertaining to personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal employees and labour relations or employee negotiations (Special Purposes Pay for identifiable employees as per Northumberland County Human Resources Compensation Policy 4.3.7), and that Jennifer Moore, Lisa Ainsworth, Maddison Mather, and Cheryl Sanders remain present." 

  • Recommended Motion:

    "That this Committee rise from Closed Session at _____ p.m.; and

    Further That the confidential resolution moved in Closed Session regarding personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal employees and labour relations or employee negotiations (Special Purposes Pay for identifiable employees as per Northumberland County Human Resources Compensation Policy 4.3.7), is hereby referred to the Corporate Support Committee, which refers it to County Council for adoption."
