  • Recommended Motion:

    "That the agenda for the December 3, 2024 Community Health Committee be approved."

    “Whereas the County’s Procedural By-law states that delegations shall be limited to a maximum of two speakers whose joint presentation shall not exceed ten minutes; and

    Whereas the Committee may choose to waive a Rule of Procedure established by this by-law, and that requires a two-thirds majority vote;

    Now Therefore Be It Resolved That the Community Health Committee approve having an additional presenter and extending the presentation time limit to 20 minutes for agenda item 5.a ‘Delegation, Haliburton, Kawartha Lakes, Northumberland (HKLN) Drug Strategy 'Situational Assessment of a Four Pillar Approach to Addressing the Drug Poisoning Crisis'.”

  • Recommended Motion:

    That the Community Health Committee receive the delegation from the Haliburton, Kawartha Lakes, Northumberland (HKLN) Drug Strategy regarding 'Situational Assessment of a Four Pillar Approach to Addressing the Drug Poisoning Crisis' for information; and

    Further That the Committee recommend that County Council receive the PowerPoint presentation for information; and

    Further That the Committee recommend that County Council consider this item for separate discussion at the December 18, 2024 County Council meeting.”

    "That the Community Health Committee receive the correspondence from the Town of Petrolia regarding 'Support for Family Physicians' for information, noting that County Council previously supported correspondence regarding this subject matter at the November 20, 2024 County Council meeting; and

    Further That the Committee recommend that County Council receive this correspondence for information."
