    "That the agenda for the May 1, 2024 Economic Development, Tourism, and Land Use Planning Committee be approved."

    "That County Council receive the delegation from Steven Haylestrom and Matt Stearns regarding 'Manufactured Modular Housing' for information."

    "That the Economic Development, Tourism, and Land Use Planning Committee receive the correspondence from the  Municipality of Brighton regarding 'Ride-Sharing Services' for information; and

    Further That the Committee recommend that County Council receive this correspondence for information."

  • Recommended Motion:

    "That the Economic Development, Tourism, and Land Use Planning Committee receive the correspondence from the Township of Puslinch regarding 'Bill 165 Keeping Energy Costs Down Act, 2024' for information; and

    Further That the Committee recommend that County Council receive this correspondence for information."

    That the Economic Development, Tourism, and Land Use Planning Committee, having considered Report 2024-066 ‘Alnwick/Haldimand Official Plan Amendment No. 2 – Alternate Notice Provisions’, recommend that County Council approve Alnwick/Haldimand Official Plan Amendment No. 2; and

    Further That the Committee recommend that County Council direct staff to provide notice of the approval to the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand and all prescribed persons in accordance with the Planning Act.”

    That the Economic Development, Tourism and Land Use Planning Committee, having considered Report 2024-067 ‘Hamilton Official Plan Amendment No. 13 – Alternate Notice Provisions’, recommend that County Council approve Hamilton Official Plan Amendment No. 13; and

    Further That the Committee recommend that County Council direct staff to provide notice of the approval to the Township of Hamilton and all prescribed persons in accordance with the Planning Act.”

    Further That the Committee recommend that County Council receive this report for information.”

    That the Economic Development, Tourism and Land Use Planning Committee receive Report 2024-069 ‘Settlement Services Update – Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and Shapiro Foundation’ for information; and

    Further That the Committee recommend that County Council receive this report for information.”

  • Recommended Motion:

    That the Economic Development, Tourism and Land Use Planning Committee, having considered Report 2024-070 ‘Tourism Funding Re-Allocation’, recommend that County Council approve reallocating $68,000.00 from reserves, which were surplus in the 2023 Tourism budget, to the 2024 Tourism budget.”

    Further That the meeting is closed to the public as permitted under the Municipal Act Section 239. (2.k) in order to address confidential negotiations regarding broadband, and that Jennifer Moore, Dan Borowec, TJ Flynn, Maddison Mather and Cheryl Sanders remain present; and 

  • Recommended Motion:

    That this Committee rise from Closed Session at _____ p.m.; and

    Further That the confidential resolution moved in Closed Session regarding confidential negotiations regarding broadband, is hereby referred to the Economic Development, Tourism, and Land Use Planning Committee, which refers it to County Council for adoption."
